Is Jesus Truly Your Lord? by Pastor Ichibei Honda
Today, we will be looking together at Jesus' words found in Matthew 7:21-23. Based on what Jesus spoke beforehand, we understand that as there are false and true prophets, there are also false and true followers of Christ. Also, as we are able to recognize true prophets by their fruit, we can recognize true followers of Christ by their fruit. And in talking about fruit here, we are talking not just about what one says or professes, but how one lives. If one has a relationship with Jesus, then they will do the will of the heavenly Father. Jesus will be the Judge of whether or not we are truly living in relationship with Him. So, is Jesus truly your Lord? Let us prayerfully consider this question.
今日は、マタイによる福音書7章21節から23節にあるイエス様の言葉を一緒に見ていきます。この前に語られたイエス様の言葉に基づき、偽預言者と真の預言者がいるように、キリストの信者にも偽信者と真の信者がいることを理解できます。また、真の預言者をその実によって見分けることができるように、真のキリスト信者もその実によって見分けることができます。ここで言う実とは、単に何を言うか、何を公言するかということではなく、どのように生きているかということです。イエス様との関係があれば、天の御父の御心を行うことになります。イエス様は、あなたがイエス様との関係の中で本当に生きているかどうかを判断されるのです。ですから、イエス様は本当にあなたの主でしょうか？この質問を祈りつつ考えましょう
